Boon – A new-to- MTG Arena mechanic, not exclusive to the Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate set, boon is a way to represent delayed triggers, similar to an emblem, but once they trigger, they disappear.Double team – When a creature with double team attacks, if it's not a token, conjure a duplicate of the original into your hand, and then both cards lose double team.Specialize – Pay mana and discard a color/land type of your choice to change your card to that new card with its effects (the change depends on which color you discarded). You'll also find new mechanics that bring the flavor of Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gateto MTG Arena:

Preorders begin tomorrow, June 23, for the exciting new set Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate, which includes new cards, cards from Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate, plus common and uncommon reprints from Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms that bring in even more D&D flavor. Still, it does require some set up, but it is a pretty nice Red card that grind you out a win, and that’s not always something Red is capable of.Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate Preorders Begin Tomorrow! Making your opponent do it on their own turn is pretty nice I think, especially with the additional upside here. It kind of incentivizes your opponent to cast removal on their own turn in a weird way, since if you reveal anything that isn’t an Instant you won’t get to use it. In a worst case scenario, this can sacrifice itself for the effect – it gets really nasty though when you bring in creature tokens, or creatures that your opponent targets with removal. It has a really low mana-cost to use the effect too, so you have a good shot at actually being able to play what you reveal. This is red’s pseudo-card draw effect, and this is the most powerful version of it, because you can even play lands off of this – with some of these effects you don’t get to play lands. So this is a two-mana 2/2 with some serious upside.
